Standing in solidarity with College Lecturers at #EISAGM24, in their fight for the future of further education in Scotland. #FightingForFE#Deemedifwedo
We must all do our part to Fight For The Future of FE
That is the message of EIS Vice President Allan Crosbie this morning.
We must organise together as one union and demand that college employers and the Scottish Government deliver for college workers. #FightingforFE
A special meeting of EIS Executive Committee this afternoon has agreed to allocate £5Million to support universal hardship payments to EIS-FELA members engaged in industrial action in Scotland's colleges.

I'm standing w/ @EISFela members at Glasgow Clyde, Anniesland, striking over a lack of decent pay rise in almost 3 yrs. Today there is a meeting @ScotParl discussing industrial relations in FE. I hope @CollEmployScot can agree to negotiate in good faith #FightingforFE
This lack of action from @COSLA and @scotgov is unacceptable. Teachers accepted a move to an August, rather than April, settlement date in good faith to enable negotiations to conclude in plenty of time prior to the summer. The tripartite make up of the SNCT must be respected!
"Massive cuts to funding are leading to deep cuts to college courses & loss of opportunity for students & prospective students across Scotland."
EIS General Secretary Andrea Bradley highlights the current crisis in Further Education in today's Herald: https://t.co/roQiUPlQER
@EISGlasgow@GMBScotOrg & Glasgow Parents Group stood in solidarity today at Govan Cross, against brutal @GlasgowCC cuts that will see 450 teachers post lost over 3 yrs & MCR pathways coordinator posts, affecting the most vulnerable in the largest education authority in Scotland
Local Government is in crisis. Years of underfunding and a disregard for our public sector workers has led to this.
If the Scottish Government and COSLA are serious about fair work, it starts with fair pay.
