@RoundtableSpace already spent 2 days running and running it with many new features and changed the name to omegachad ai, one of the features is fully hermes integrated in it
@leonbasinwriter@RoundtableSpace Openai and anthropic of course are better but for regular tasks for most humans we wonโt need top notch aiโs for our everyday life and open source models could easily do what we need , therefore valuations of the rest might be flawed
The AI valuation bubble is massive and it will pop sooner or later.
Everyone is throwing tens of billions at companies like Anthropic and OpenAI. They're valuing these ChatGPT-style AIs like they're the future trillion dollar giants. But I think those valuations are completely flawed.
Why? Because open source AI especially the strong Chinese models is catching up insanely fast. You can download them for free run them locally and fully own them.
Sure the closed models are ahead right now but that gap is closing crazy quick.
In 1-2 years the best open source ones will be just as good or better for almost everything people actually use AI for.
Two of the strongest open source models right now are DeepSeek V3/V4 which is a beast at coding math and reasoning and Qwen3 from Alibaba especially the big variants. These are seriously powerful and frontier level.
Why would anyone keep paying big subscriptions for closed systems when open source will give you the same performance for free with full privacy and no restrictions?
Open source won in software and it's going to win in AI too. Those multi billion valuations look more overpriced every single month. This bubble is going to pop.
Open source is the real future.
What do you think how long until it bursts?
