But Hamas doesn’t just starve the hostages. It starves the people of Gaza, by looting aid and blocking humanitarian deliveries which Israel has worked with its international partners to increase.

Now Hamas spreads lies and libels, blaming Israel to exploit global compassion. Hamas rejoices as it succeeds in distracting the world from their own crimes against humanity.

This is pure cruelty.

I urge world leaders: demand the hostages’ release. Ensure aid reaches civilians – not terrorists.

This is a test of humanity. Silence is not an option.

After four years without a resident Polish ambassador in Israel, I was pleased this morning to receive the diplomatic credentials of new Ambassador of Poland, Maciej Hunia @PLinIsrael.

His appointment marks an important step - both against the backdrop of the long and complex history between our nations, and because of Poland’s important voice in Europe and on the international stage at this critical time, as we continue to fight and cry out for the swift return of our hostages from Gaza, and long for a better future of peace and stability across our region.

I extend my warmest wishes for much success to Poland’s President-elect @NawrockiKn, and express my hope that the ties between our countries will continue to deepen and strengthen.

I was moved and inspired to meet him and a delegation led by @elnet_global of Imams and Muslim community leaders from across Europe. They stand bravely against extremism, and speak out for coexistence and partnership between faiths.

Here in Israel we live together side by side, Muslim and Jew, together with people of all faiths - and I urged them to take back with them to their communities a message of hope and peace for the future of the region.

Inshallah, we will all see better days, with our hostages back home, and the end of conflicts and suffering in our region.

Great and long-awaited news. In Estonia, Israel doesn’t need to explain what it means to live next to an aggressive neighbour — and the same goes for Estonia in Israel. Back in 1993, when no one else would sell us arms for fear of 'provoking the Russians,' Israel did. Now we will learn from each other’s experience in cyber, IT, drones and a lot more.
