Award-deserving ELT writer. Centrist, Jew(ish), Lab member. Trying not be rude too often. 'Why people tear the seam of anyone's dream is over my head.'
I’m not going to amplify Reform’s ad by sharing it, but the wilful misrepresentation of Kemi Badenoch - selectively quoting what she said about ‘white lives matter’ - is disgraceful and dangerous.
It needs to be challenged, including by those of us who are not Conservatives.
@LKrauss1@Bratt_world That's fine in a world where stupid opinions are crowded out by common sense and accuracy, but the opposite is true. Millions are refusing vaccines for their kids because anti-vax comments are amplified. It's a problem. A return to witch-burning is not implausible by this route.
@somefilmstudies@bugsandfishes It isn't unclear or incorrect but it is a little unfortunate – like writing "I opened the back door in my pyjamas". Better to avoid this kind of thing.
This is the lying propaganda of race war. It's quite clear now that, under pressure from Lowe and Musk, Farage has decided to abandon his old red lines and move to the far right.
Like I’ve been saying for a few days now, something isn’t right inside Reform. Their basic internal discipline is collapsing. Fighting amongst themselves. Putting out stupidly transparent and inflammatory attack ads. Mucking up the Makerfield selection. There’s an issue there.
@JuliaHB1 Yes, it's so dishonest. Coupled with Zia Yusuf's post attacking the common-sense NHS policy of screening black men over 45 for prostate cancer, @reformparty_uk have really shown their true colours today.
@GadSaad I'd rather listen to this - an honest and appropriate response from Starmer - than see Nigel Farage cosplaying outrage over Nowak's murder while secretly smirking with glee at the opportunities for rage-baiting.
