@RebeccFung A few I read last year: Without Further Ado - Jessica Dettmann (based on Much Ado about Nothing); It Sounded Better in My Head, and Unnecessary Drama - both by Nina Kenwood; and if you like YA, I recommend The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling by Wai Chim
@CathylPowell While I would prefer a black pen, there are so many blue pens in this house it's pointless spending money on a black one. So I'll be using blue (probably for the next decade or so).
@CathylPowell I don't think either works for me, I need to pants a bit, plot a bit, rinse, repeat. I keep needing to remind myself the first draft is for getting to know the characters.
#WriteTypes 18. Somewhere between a week and never π. It depends what I'm writing and how well it's working. Short stories and picture book drafts - one week. Ill-formed novel ideas - never (though I always think I'll go back to them one day).
I made these shell displays this afternoon. Not quite right yet, but easy and inexpensive. I've had all the shells for many, many years. The larger vase was one I already had, so only had to pay for the craft sand and the small vase.
