I love that taking this course at the same time as attending university because it is making me retrain myself and gain stronger study habits, especially the experiment on distractions. #eyeopening#EM203Robin
The aging population in Canada is a huge crisis! Working age (15-64) and their share of the population is expected to decline, causing a greater strain on government as there are less people working and paying tax relative to the growing senior population. https://t.co/RxbA5NcT7J
This website provides excellent information about what new technologies seniors are able to learn and use to help them during their everyday lives. This can be communication, hygiene, medication management, mobility, etc.

@EM203meghclarke Hi Meghan, I saw your mindmap. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a serious issue that is affecting our water and wildlife. This causes a ripple effect that will then exponentially affect us and the way we live.
@EM203Cfeut Long-term injuries like concussions are a major issue in sports organizations. I feel a lot is still not understood about the brain in general, because of this the precautions that need to be taken should be extensive and prolonged for a full recovery.
@EM203NJeffery Hi Nathan, I saw your mindmap. The access and awareness to healthcare in Canada is an interesting and very real problem for Canadians. Especially due to cultural differences and social discriminates.
@EM203NJeffery I agree with you Nathan, in the next few years I think we are going to see a big rise in the impact of technology as things get smarter, smaller and faster. As a person who likes to learn with my hands, I haven't decided yet if it is going to be a good or bad thing yet.
@em203kahlan This is so true. I never really thought of the impact of technology on learning but looking back on my school experience, It definitely had a big impact on my learning. I remember using smart boards and projectors, sometimes even laptops.
@EM203MBaliwalla Hi Mark, I am more of a Cognitivism type of learner. But I do like working with my hands whenever I can. Learning Sudoku was challenging but I enjoyed it.
I have never used twitter before but so far in #EM203Robin, it has been a great time. I have learned a lot about different types of learning and the differences between Multi-media, Multi-modal, and Multi-tasking. This class allow students to learn and connect in different ways.
