Hi! @nanditabasu2 I am a student from Wilfrid Laurier University. In your expert opinion, how can local communities come together to protect and preserve water resources? Are you aware of any successful community-based water conservation initiatives?
Water pollution continues to negatively impact wildlife and other aspects of the environment. Visit https://t.co/6jtscFu0uJ to learn about the Ocean Wise Shoreline Cleanup program and Canadian efforts to combat water pollution! #EM203Robin
Historic milestone here: Nations have reached agreement to protect the world's oceans. Human activity has altered 66% of marine environment. Action to protect our oceans, marine biodiversity & livelihoods must now be immediate. https://t.co/vSGVsCKcFU
The train derailment in Ohio has exposed residents to harmful chemicals, causing various health issues. This incident can be explored further in my final summative assignment, where I will address environmental issues like air and water pollution. #EM203Robin#EM203Research
Residents and workers near the site where a train carrying hazardous chemicals derailed this month have been diagnosed with bronchitis and other conditions that doctors and nurses suspect are linked to chemical exposure. https://t.co/UOzJtLdYT9
@EM203MBrown It's nice to see someone else doing an environmental issues concept map. Something you could have included was ground polution such as the effects of harmful chemicals and pesticides on the environment #em203problems
@EM203ABodalia Your concept map on health was well organized! Outlining the specific causes and effects may be helpful to connect the sections. Eg. for nutrition you can consider intake of foods, effects on the body and how this impacts mental and physical health. #EM203problems
@EM203ASilva Your concept map on poverty was very well designed. One section that I believe would be beneficial to add is location/geography. This can have a significant impact on poverty when considering cost of living and access to fundamental services. #EM203problems
@EM203FGranieri You included many important issues relating to health. I thought that your section on mental health issues was very essential to include! In this section you could also add specific mental health issues (bipolar, depression, anxiety, etc.) #EM203problems
@EM203ATse Your mind map included many important environmental issues within Canada! The set up of your map was very intuitive, outlining specific effects, causes, solutions, and oversights. An additional issue that you can add is air and water pollution. #EM203problems
@EM203EFletcher It is very interesting to learn about the impacts and various of technology and and social media. I look forward to the rest of the term, where we further explore these uses and impacts!
@EM203AWalker I agree, I have really enjoyed the content of this course so far! It was interesting to learn about the multi-media, multi-modal, and multi-tasking last week. Through last week's task, I also learned that I am not the best at multi-tasking! Something to work on this year :)
@em203digiallon I agree, this course has been very interactive and informative! I also learned how to complete a sudoku puzzle and have been enjoying the various weekly tasks.
@EM203Kthamber I also found it very interesting to see the different learning theories and how different one's can apply to social media platforms like Twitter.
@EM203Arkend I have never used Twitter as one of my primary social media platforms either, so this course is very interesting. Excited to see what the rest of the semester is like!
Currently in the third week of EM203 and have been loving the course so far! Learning the ways in which various digital technologies and social media platforms can be of use for collaborative and creative learning. Excited for the rest of the semester! #EM203Robin
