@EM203vmagolon Yes. Eating an anti-inflammatory diet (foods), intermittent fasting, deep breathing such as the 4-7-8 Technique or Box Breathing, ensure your magnesium levels are adequate - vital(!). Any form of exercise will reduce stress & anxiety.
@LoriShemek Thank you for your response! I never would have thought intermittent fasting would be recommended so that's very interesting. Appreciate your insights on my questions!!
@LoriShemek as a health expert, what do you believe are the best ways to de-stress as a University student? are there dietary changes that can be made or physical activity that reduces stress and anxiety?
Whether it be a simple stretch, yoga class or intense HIIT workout- do something for yourself everyday, make every move count!! #EM203Robin#em203problems
A good night sleep is essential to everyday function, with poor sleep being the leading factor contributing to many of the problems identified in my concept map. This article highlights important habits that can make a positive difference for your sleep!

@EM203epeori great concept map!! another factor that could be considered for the technology section- is lack of awareness/education on devices/softwares/tech tools, along with the pace of change, as technology constantly evolving. #em203problems
@haleyy260 great map! an issue I identified in relation to your "awareness" section involves the enormous flow & access to information we have in this day & age. It can be difficult to determine what information is accurate and will contribute to healthy habits. #em203problems
Nice concept map! Along with funding for technology being a barrier, lack of knowledge on technology can also be viewed as an issue. Therefore, teachers and students may both need lessons on how to use the given technology. @EM203epeori#em203problems
@EM203_amandaF love your concept map!! an additional problem I identified was not only social media in terms of false information, but also heavy filters & unrealistic picture editing used by "influencers/celebs" that lead to body dysmorphia/eating disorders/etc. #em203problems
In my first 3 weeks of EM203, I have learned that as “digital natives”, we should be pivoting our learning to reflect changed landscapes- especially relevant to life post-pandemic. Learning theory can aid in this by helping us understand how we most effectively learn! #EM203Robin
@em203brodrigues Totally agree Bradley. It’s super informative & useful now in our academics, as well as for when we start careers & have to help train or onboard new employees!
@EM203Adeeba Hi Adeeba! Such a great point. It’s cool to have the opportunity to leverage a digital tool that is so prevalent in many of our lives, & use to learn!!
@DarbyHaveron Hi Darby! I agree, it's been nice to learn about how I best learn, as well as what other learning styles are out there! It's nice that we can learn off each other through a platform like Twitter!
@lamiaalbayatii Hi Lamia! So great to hear! I have also learned a lot about my personal learning style. I really love how EM203 has forced us to take a step back and reflect on how we best learn- as it only helps us to study more effectively & efficiently!
@em203ecummings Hey Emily!! I completely agree, it's interesting as well to identify which form of information different types of learners gravitate toward. As classes have pivoted to online platforms, I have found digital textbooks more efficient for my learning!
