@FiredUpCoug One of the Young Men from the neighboring stake was just killed while riding an E-Bike. I don't think he wore any protection. I didn't know him, but my teenagers did. Local cities are discussing new ordinances now
@JReubenCIark Our family sits in the same pew just about every week. About once a quarter, we change. Throws people off. But we only do it for one week. Then back to the original. After about 2 years someone finally asked me why I did that.
@TedAtchley3 It's not very easy. You need to be consistent. Minimum weekly videos, recording, editing, etc. He would have to work 20ish hours a week for about 2 years before he would make even a dollar
@busy_bee_me Can't you unsubscribe from those things in your church account? I haven't looked, I just seem to remember a disclaimer at the bottom of those emails that's says something like "you are receiving this email because you subscribed to it"
@GrandpaJoeSux "i had a joke, but didn't know if it was appropriate so I ran it by the bishop. He said it was definitely NOT appropriate and gave me a different joke. So now I know 2 inappropriate jokes"
@FiredUpCoug One of our favorite card games we found brand new at DI for $1. Book of Mormon Mania. Played it so much we wore the cards out. Can't find it for sale anywhere to buy again. Our family would love to be testers
@PeacemakingSt If you can find one in your price range, a Toyota Sienna. We had a 2005 with 300,000+ miles put on it before we finally sold it because the A/C gave up the ghost. I would rather have my 2005 Sienna then my 2017 dodge caravan
A couple ideas. 1. (With bishopric approval), set up a web cam and create a zoom link for the homebound people to "attend" Sunday School. Have someone watching for questions. If no one attends, you can drop this quickly and move to something else.
2. Our region has single adult activities a
lot. Campouts, temple trips, conferences, etc. I think they'd get more out of it the more there are.
3. I like you teaching them HOW to do CFM, but don't get stuck on THE way...just A way. We had something similar at YM camp where we had personal scripture study and one of the adult leaders asked "do they know HOW to study?" So we spent time teaching them a couple methods
@ThoughtfulSaint I don't think anyone knows where the line is between "fun" and dead. I remember a night in high school where I got black out drunk and then apparently drove home...woke up in bed. Scared me so much I hadn't drank a drop on purpose since
@PeacemakingSt One of the things I hung on to while investigating was the question, "Is it eternally significant?" If it doesn't affect me eternally, I'm not gonna spend a lot of time critically thinking about it
@FiredUpCoug Do you like action, comedy, magic, fantasy romance, and suspense all rolled together? Check out Lynn Kurland The Nine Kingdoms series. Star of the Morning is the first book
