Welcome to day 2.
Today we strike again to show the Government that we’re not backing down until we have a credible offer.
Stick Together. Strike Together. Win Together. #PayRestoration
Thanks to everyone who joined @_m_shehab, Sophie and Will for pizza and the next steps towards FPR @NGHnhstrust
If you're interested in hosting a pay and pizza event please DM.
Work together. Strike together. Win together.
There are 166,315 patients on their waiting list.
Cutting waiting lists relies on doctors working extra hours.
Lowering rates risks understaffing, burnt out doctors & patient safety.
This is reckless.
Huge respect to @jinnieshinnie, @fiaglia & team for leading the fight
"This is a moment to celebrate. It's undeniable proof that when we stand united, we win".
Hear from your RDC co-chairs @Melissa_S_Ryan and @RossNieuwoudt about the back pay lump sum most of you will receive this month and our ongoing work to achieve full pay restoration.
Good to see that some Trusts are taking steps to rectify their failure to pay the backpay to all past and current employees.
Let’s see if others will step up too
Trusts had months to prepare for backpay, it's unacceptable to delay payments before Christmas.
Thanks to your action & work by BMA staff & reps @nottmhospitals and @Leic_hospital have agreed to add a payment run for 3/12 and 5/12.
Time for Trusts in the region to follow suit.
@NGHnhstrust wonders why morale is low, yet won’t even pay the backpay for resident doctors on time.
You promised us that doctors would be paid in November, yet you failed.
@NHSEmployers@wesstreeting@DHSCgovuk sounds like your side of the bargain isn’t being fulfilled.
It's completely unacceptable that due to poor planning, some trusts will fail to meet their backpay obligations to resident doctors in England this month.
We continue to hold trusts and NHS Employers accountable for this.
If you do not receive your backpay in your November pay packet, please read the statement and FAQs: https://t.co/6oMVoLM6aF
Care to share why doctors have to chase their backpay? @Leic_hospital@NGHnhstrust@KettGeneral you’ve all had plenty of opportunity to plan for this, unacceptable.

“Doctors should not have to chase the NHS for their pay packets”
And we shouldn’t have to pressure Trusts via X either.
I’m guessing the list of Trusts failing to release all resident doctors’ backpay will surprise no one.
Do better.
Despite emails and meetings earlier this week, we are aware of hospitals in East Midlands who have said they will not pay their doctors on time
This is not acceptable. We were promised by @NHSEngland@DHSCgovuk@wesstreeting that resident doctors would be paid in November
The fight is not over though, with the cut now deferred until August.
For the doctors of Kettering keep up the pressure. For doctors everywhere else, you can win if you remain united.

UPDATE:
Yesterday management at Kettering reversed their controversial decision to cut rates for doctors in response to 100 doctors cancelling their shifts.
This was only possible due to the unity of grassroots doctors.

Doctors of Kettering, know your worth. You aren’t worth 1/3 less than a week ago.
100 doctors have taken the personal decision to cancel their shifts tomorrow in the face of these cuts, we stand with you alongside over 60 consultants at KGH.
We are extremely disappointed @AoMRC has excluded @TheBMA from a meeting to discuss MAPs and doctors in training despite the inclusion of other key stakeholders including @NHSEngland, @gmcuk and ATDC. [1/3]
The profession has shown it will no longer accept further erosion of pay or conditions.
You have the power to set the value of your extra contractual work.
We remain united in support for one another.

Time for trusts and the government to stop short-changing and deceiving patients.
Time to halt the expansion of unregulated, lesser-trained, higher paid MAPs and work on recruitment and retention of doctors, nurses and other established HCPs.
