We will dig deep into fuel cell MEA designs and look at alternative materials.
Thanks to my research group (@EMS_forner_lab), @TUeindhoven, collaborators, mentors and my family
Ayer tuve la oportunidad de hablar sobre nuestra investigación en radiografía de neutrones, baterías de flujo y electrodos porosos en Radio Nacional de España. ¡Muchas gracias por dar visibilidad a la ciencia y por acercarla al público!

We used white beam and energy-selective neutron imaging to visualize concentration distributions in redox flow batteries.
Kudos to the three co-first authors Remy Jacquemond, Maxime van der Heijden and Emre B. Boz!
Yesterday I joined the ECCM @GroenvermogenNL summer school in Electrochemistry! I gave a lecture on flow batteries and asked the students to prepare research proposals and defend them. They did a wonderful job and we funded (with chocolate!) a winner, but they were all exciting!
Pedro Carvalho Ferreira also enthusiastically defended his MSc thesis today! Pedro developed a Finite Element Method framework to understand mass transport in various electrode geometries.
It was great to have him in our group! Congratulations to Pedro and @MojBarz !
Today Martin de Waal defended his MSc thesis where she used openFOAM to simulate transport phenomena in redox flow battery reactors.
It has been a pleasure to have him in the group!
Congratulations to Martin and his main supervisor @MojBarz for the excellent work!
Issue 6 of #EnergyAdvances is out now, featuring artwork from Francisco Martin-Martinez et al on the cover! ✨
