NEWS: Tesla plans to increase its delivery hubs by 60% in Japan due to a surge in deliveries.

Currently, Tesla delivers vehicles to Japanese customers at seven locations, and plans to add two more in August and two more by the end of the year, bringing the total to 11 locations this year.

Tesla sales in Japan are showing strength this year.

12 August 2026 Giga Texas Snapshots! Early morning sunrise & activity on the track along with many vehicles in the outbound lot including more Cybercabs, but none of the ones I saw this morning had the new Starlink hatch modification.

Construction progress in multiple areas continues even early in the morning. The N Campus site shows the steel structure growing and crews beginning to install rebar on some of the floors ahead of the start of concrete pumping operations.

The E Advanced Chip Fab foundation continues to get GeoPier work and for the first time, footing excavations are now underway!

The electrical switchyard shows a large auger preparing an excavation for footings that will allow new steel sectioned power poles to be installed on the N end.

Cortex 2 Megapack installation continues, this morning on the E side for the cooling systems while crews are removing wall material on the N end for a new modification to the design.
