Dementia can affect a person’s ability to discriminate between colours. Using a contrasting colour to the walls for handrails or bannisters can help them stand out and prompt use. Avoid bold patterns or stripes, stick to a single block of colour @alzscot@S_D_W_G@NDCAN_Scotland
