@ivanburazin It was closed because some guys were caught dealing drugs at one of the parties that were organized there to subsidize the rent for Balkan startups. Crazy times indeed.
@SadClown Ova poslednja rečenica je ključna, mi konstantno tražimo te velike autoritativne lidere umesto da se ponašamo kao republika. Lepo je sročio sve.
@eniac I think you are right. Any time there's a competitive threat like $AAPL, that probably puts a bit of a ceiling on AppLovin's multiple until investors know for sure. something to monitor if they are asked on the Q2 earnings call $APP
Wouldn’t be surprised if this shakes up $APP.
Similar to Google on Android, Apple has a uniquely valuable first-party dataset across its users, including engagement and purchase behavior. If Apple starts using that data to compete for high-value users outside of its own properties, it could put some pressure on AppLovin’s business.
That said, AppLovin has built a healthy market share on Android as well, despite Google’s strength there. So this is less of an existential risk and more of a new competitive dynamic worth watching.
Did Apple just signal a third-party expansion of Apple Ads?
Apple quietly updated its Advertising Services terms yesterday to allow for Apple Ads to operate on third-party surfaces, including non-Apple-owned apps and websites. This could be a signal that Apple intends to meaningfully expand Apple Ads beyond its owned apps.
H/t @Thomasbcn. Link below; no paywall.

@Thomasbcn Attribution/measurement is the biggest one. They already have multiple formats in their News and Stocks app placements. I can share them later.
This is an old intiative btw, they were hiring a team to build a DSP a few years ago.
@WeirdContrarian 1. is not really a massive concern, Google Ads doesn't own all of the inventory they are going after.
2. Getting the conversion signal from existing Meta campaigns speeds up the learning phase, and minimizes risk.
