The last surviving of the 12 Mau Mau Generals, Kiambati wa Njora, dies aged 106. The death of General Kiambati (born Kiambati wa Njora), on Monday, February 2, 2026, means all the 12 top senior Mau Mau veterans of “General rank” in Nyandarua have all exited.
It is worthy of celebrating his life, his heroism but most of all,for his sacrifice for our freedom. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
The demise extends a string of deaths of the veterans in the County in the last three years.
With no surviving member of the top echelon of the former freedom fighters means they have all exited without getting recognition by the government for their role in fighting for independence, a push they have been pursuing with passion.
Kiambati’s death was confirmed by his son Maina Kiambati who attributed the death to old age. The old man was aged 106 years, according to Maina.
Maina said his late father had spent the weekend with his children and grand children at their home in Ngorika and even held a memorial service

We can make it happen!

They broadcast horror like a ritual.
They give you a wound.
They never show the banks that fund the guns.
They show you bodies and blame the village.
They never name the shipping lanes, the NGO contracts, the satellite feeds that move weapons through jungles.
They name “Islamist rebels” and call it a headline.
They do not tell you who trained them.
They do not tell you who paid them.
They tell you who to hate.
This is not information.
It is programming.
A spell of division broadcast in real time.
It keeps the West asleep by framing every massacre as ancient tribal chaos instead of engineered supply chains.
It keeps the victims nameless and the perpetrators faceless so the real architects stay untouchable.
When you see death on a loop, ask which hands are invisible?
Ask which narrative benefits.
Ask who gains power from blood turned into content.
KENYA has CDF
KENYA has NGAAF
KENYA has WOMEN FUND
KENYA has YOUTH FUND
KENYA has a ministry of YOUTH
KENYA has a ministry of GENDER and SOCIAL SERVICES
KENYA has a ministry of COOPERATIVES
KENYA has a structured legislation and other cabinet-approved policies to promote social protection of youth, women and vulnerable people.
Why therefore would 50 politicians conduct a harambee for women and youth empowerment?
Harambees were banned and parliament replaced them through several legislations funded by taxpayers.
We are led by educated fools!
When a regime needs tear gas, guns, water cannons, and barbed wire to govern, it's no longer leading but clinging to power.
The hallmark of tyranny is fear dressed in uniform.
What a legacy indeed.
The documentary released by BBC Africa today should prick our conscience as Kenyans.
The right to picket is a constitutional guarantee, which was violated.
The disproportionate use of force against the youth last June is yet another reminder of the urgent need for IPOA and other investigative agencies such as the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) to carry out their mandates expeditiously.
If confirmed, the alleged participation of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in suppressing civilians would be a grave violation of Article 241(3)(c) of the Constitution, which strictly limits KDF deployment in civilian matters to clear emergencies, with full transparency and accountability to Parliament.
Those behind this violence, violation of the Constitution and the rule of law are reminded that although the wheels of justice may grind slowly, we will eventually have a leadership that will hold them accountable for their actions.
Bravo, brave journalists and young Kenyans who used their phones, their cameras, and their courage to capture the truth second-by-second. Over 5000 images and videos pieced together in the documentary expose what the powers that be tried to bury.
In a time when we cannot trust the words of this administration, it is citizen action and fearless journalism that ensure the truth is not erased.
We deserve a Kenya where fidelity to the Constitution is the order of the day and the rule of law is respected #ThePeopleShall
