My colleague, @Eng_F_Ngeno Principal Secretary for Environment & Climate Change and I, co-chaired a meeting to discuss progress and the way forward in the restoration of Lake Ol'Bolossat Ecosystem. Joining us were; Dr. @OmondiPomondi, CEO/Director of the @WRTIKenya officials from the State Departments for Wildlife, Environment & Climate Change as well as Forestry, @WRTIKenya, @KWSKenya, Ministry of Lands, WRA, NEMA, KFS, National Museums of Kenya and the County Government of Nyandarua.
The integrated multi-stakeholder approach is informed by the need to address complex, interconnected challenges that cannot be solved by a single entity. It is driven by the realization that diverse perspectives, resources, and local knowledge are necessary to create effective, legitimate, and lasting solutions.

The Principal Secretary, State Department for Wildlife, @PSMuseiya, today graced the launch of the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK) Strategic Plan 2025–2030, themed “Charting New Pathways to Transformation and Sustainability in Wildlife and Environmental Education.”
WCK is a conservation education organization under the State Department for Wildlife, dedicated to inspiring youth and communities to care for nature. Since 1968, WCK has empowered over 20 million young people and community members across Kenya to protect wildlife, nature, and the environment through education, advocacy, and hands-on conservation activities.
In her remarks, PS Museiya appreciated all stakeholders for their collective efforts in advancing the conservation sector. She reaffirmed the Ministry’s full support in ensuring meaningful inclusion of youth in the sector, noting that they are the future leaders and stewards of wildlife conservation.
Addressing stakeholders at the event, the Patron of WCK, Governor Wilberforce Otichilo, called for enhanced partnerships, collaboration, and innovation in implementing the plan. He emphasized that the quality of outcomes is a key expectation and should remain a central focus.
The newly launched Strategic Plan will guide WCK’s engagement with young people, schools, and communities across Kenya over the next five years, strengthening conservation education and youth participation in environmental stewardship
A man who studies his own patterns with brutal honesty eventually becomes harder to manipulate, because once he understands where he typically bends, panics, or seeks comfort, he can anticipate his own weaknesses and close the gaps before someone else exploits them.
