Renewable energy is Europe's most cost-effective, most strategically secure and most rapidly scalable energy asset. The post-2030 framework must reflect this and deliver on it. Full letter: https://t.co/lThApm8JNO #RenewableEnergy#EnergyTransition#Post2030 4/4
EREF joins a broad coalition of renewable energy, energy efficiency and civil society organisations in a joint letter to EU leaders: build on what works for the post-2030 energy framework, and go further. 🌍 1/4
Our joint call: binding RE and EE targets, enforceable delivery, full protection of RED and EED, accelerated flexibility and storage, and stronger cross-border cooperation. No weakening. No dilution. 3/4
Strengthen what works: renewable energy, investment certainty and delivery in the post-2030 governance framework. EREF has submitted its input to the Governance Regulation consultation. Our message: delivery, not deregulation. 1/4
Europe's competitiveness challenge lies in weak implementation, not excessive EU ambition. Simplification must not become reduced scrutiny. Full paper in the link below. #RenewableEnergy#EnergyTransition 4/4

⚡ EREF has submitted its contribution to the European Commission’s consultation on upcoming PPA Guidance.
PPAs are indispensable tools to accelerate renewables deployment, mobilise private capital and provide long-term price stability.

Cross-border PPAs also remain underdeveloped.
Further harmonisation of Guarantees of Origin, clearer risk allocation & more predictable network cost treatment are essential to make the internal market work in practice.
