Feel very let down by @EssexPoliceUK for allowing people to get away with failing to stop and exchange details after a collision while a learner was behind the wheel. Found the driver myself & his attitude was all wrong yet no driver improvement course offered- no action at all.

Very concerned re talk of pardoning those Sub Postmasters who were “wrongly convicted” - that leaves a lot of uncertainty for those who enterred into plea bargains or felt their only option was to fraudently report on their losses because of the system errors! #HorizonScandal

@_Y_D_A_ @randomessays @houghtonc79 Couldn’t agree more! For sure, some people need a bigger car for families etc, but there is still a huge market for small cars. One thing though- I think work needs to be done to make them more robust and safer. Lots of people go big to feel safer.

@RicHolden 1/2 please don’t implement a ban on new drivers carrying passengers. This would prevent new driver parents from taking their children out, prevent 6th formers taking siblings to school. It’s not going to save lives in itself & won’t reduce car journeys. #educationiskey

@EssexPFCC @EPRoadsPolicing The problem is that the Government lacks the moral fibre to reduce the drink drive limit further as has been done in Scotland and refuses to change sentencing guidelines to provide a really effective deterrent. 35mcg/100ml breath doesn’t really scream #Nonefortheroad does it?

Sad to hear of the passing of Paddy Hopkirk OBE today. I had the hilarious pleasure of working with him at @BRDCSilverstone and @IAMRoadSmart events between 1990 and 2018! RIP Paddy- one of rallying’s greats! (Photo credit: Brooklands Museum).
