Hersh is not a hero. He was an American-Israeli, peace-loving kid with endless wanderlust. He was kidnapped, had his arm blown off and tortured and then executed in a dank tunnel by Hamas. Don’t glamorize this into something it’s not. This a tragedy (a preventable one). Full stop
