Erin Schick

Interested in changing the lives of the homeless by providing them the dignity every human being deserves.

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

Finally done with the @CSHSeniorSem research paper, still so passionate about this topic #homelessnessNYC

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

New York contains 13% of the US’s homeless population. The second largest number of homeless people in the country after Texas #homelessness

[End Homelessness @naehomelessness]

Senate passed the #CARA Act tackling opioid abuse. We can do more to respond to this problem in homeless populations https://t.co/06HCTmykP8

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@CSHSeniorSem @LillianPura @voxdotcom Wow! Powerful article, thanks!

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

Thank you @CSHSeniorSem for leading this great discussion. So many good points were made! #sensemchat https://t.co/F7qp0CbB0A

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@considinee8 It's definitely motivating! Prospero and the Italian noblemen think that #glory is so great that they are motivated to get it.

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

A3. The chess board refers to how life is a game. You need to have the best strategy and game plan in order to win. #SenSemChat

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@considinee8 Either that or the chess board is a symbol of how life is a game and you need the best strategy to win and get the #glory

[Gracie Smith @smithgracie03]

A2: Revenge has blinded Prospero but he is now able to open his eyes. "The rarer action is in virtue than in vengeance" (5.1.27) #sensemchat

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@paterninav5 Sexist or reflecting the expectations of the time?

[Izzy Parker @IzzyParkeri]

"I am a fool to weep at what I am glad of" (iii, i, 74) Miranda is a smart girl, but held down by societal expectations. #sensemchat

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@smithgracie03 A strong woman to tell someone how it is!

[Gracie Smith @smithgracie03]

A1: Miranda is naive but can be strong. She calls Caliban "a thing most brutish" and calls him out for being ungrateful and rude #sensemchat

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@AggieRyana True, she knows what she wants and is adventurous in that way since she is so isolated and hadn't experienced love before.

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@carolineroche98 I think we nailed it on the head! :)

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@squirec8 Ah... good point. His forgiveness would give him the upper hand because people would trust him more. He's pretty manipulative!

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@carolineroche98 True! But in those times women where mostly "isolated" to the home maybe Miranda shows some connections to other women?

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@IzzyParkeri He was also able to forgive b/c of his power over everyone on the island, this way he could force people to give him his way

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

@squirec8 True... I never thought of it that way. She is the light in a group of corrupt men.

[Erin Schick @ESchick2016]

A2. On the island Prospero has control over everyone, even the Italian noblemen. His "power" allowed him to be able to forgive #sensemchat
