@CrazyLightPod@bluhue123 The late great Don Rickles would likely riff on Trump's hair, cancelled TV show, and constant need for attention. But he would not lambaste Trump's patriotic fervor. Trump was democratically elected twice - maybe even 3 times.

The parallels between your post and the situation that in 2017 our company found ourselves in after our 31 year business relationship with our largest customer ended is stunning. That customer is currently the largest company in Canada - and we were among the smallest.
It was all great until the customer said they don't need us anymore.
As Canadians, we have to get over the emotions and pain of losing the U.S. as our biggest (and often only) customer.
The pain will just continue until we smarten up and return to building Canada and maybe have the kahunas to find a way to return to the joy of the era of 1967, Expo and the Leafs.
If we are as good as Doug says we are - and we ARE - then recovery is possible.
Unfortunately it appears that the majority of bike lane users in the downtown core are commercial food delivery drivers riding illegal motorized vehicles, often in a manner that endangers pedestrians and fellow road users via careless, discourteous operation at speeds that are far above expected pedal propelled bicycles or legitimate eBikes. Not cool, Ms. Mayor.
2016 was the beginning of the low point in our original business. It got worse from there. Much worse. It took 30 years since 1984 to grow into something great. And only a few months to nearly collapse permanently. In 2025 the road back is being built and this time it is being built for longevity. Will elaborate on the "how" in future posts. But suffice to say that the X founder is helping to navigate.
Good people are highly tolerant of opinions, actions and cultures that diverge from their own. Good people can also identify those with "hidden" agendas. It is indeed unfortunate that some bad actors have swung the pendulum so far "left" that legitimate gains by disadvantaged persons are now in jeopardy. Don't worry, through time the good people will fix that damage too.
Independent, Interesting and Innovative businesses capitalize on their natural strengths such as deep customer relationships, great products and a top tier value proposition.

@OPP_News Would support you buying a few Teslas and just go up and down the 400 from 6am until 2 am daily. We need OPP patrols on the roads, like you did last century. Way too many unprofessional drivers out there, in all classes of vehicles.

Makes no sense. All of Simcoe County is earmarked for growth, Alliston will double in size with the Honda expansion. And yet Billion$ are going to GIP merely to add a HOV lane to the existing 400. There should have been one or more additional 400 series routes between Toronto and Barrie long ago!
It certainly appears that Bell and Rogers - Canada's largest telecoms - are colluding with one another on several fronts. They own a retailer together - Glentel - that sells phones and plans. They own the largest TV production company together - Dome Productions. They own the largest Canadian sports and entertainment company together - MLSE. Not Cool and very anti-competitive to the detriment of Canadians. Of course, they will frame it as being about "productivity and efficiency", but to us it looks like an enabler of price fixing.
