Many of us have not been exposed to Islam growing up, in high school a Palestinian friend of mine recommended the book, A Thousand Splendid Suns by @khaledhosseini Since we’re talking about religion in YA. I thought many of you would enjoy this novel. #Summer19YALit it’s just ⏬

I just realized that #AmericanBornChinese is an anti-bullying advocate in the most creative way ever! I remember defending an Asian American who visited my church from bullying... let’s just say I protected her! To this day we are great friends! This is us younger! @geneluenyang

Reading #AmericanBornChinese gave me flashbacks of how I would cringe at my grandmothers broken English! Ugh, I’m so grateful at how humble and patient she was with me regardless of how embarrassed I was of her. #Diversity #Summer19YALit #minorities

Am I the only one who thinks the #GentlemansGuide could make an amazing Netflix series ? I mean come on, we could get the story from not only Monty’s perspective, however Felicity and Percy’s as well... @themackenzilee this novel is one in a million! I love it #Summer19YALit
