One of the interesting responses to this article is all the white liberals pretending they don’t call the police on their Black and Latinx neighbors for having parties during regular hours, as well as calling the police on homeless people for simply yelling. 🙃
ARE Y’ALL NOT HEARING THIS?? ARE YOU NOT ENRAGED??? THEY INFILTRATED THE REFUGEE CAMP IN TRUCKS DISGUISED AS HUMANITARIAN AID!!! IN TRUCKS DISGUISED AS HUMANITARIAN AID. IN TRUCKS DISGUISED AS HUMANITARIAN AID. IN TRUCKS DISGUISED AS HUMANITARIAN AID. IN TRUCKS DISGUISED AS HUMANITARIAN AID. IN TRUCKS DISGUISED AS HUMANITARIAN AID!!!!!!!
I would like to take a moment to point out that June is also Indigenous History Month and it’s so important we don’t forget this. Indigenous people are still suffering from the effects of residential schools and are constantly experiencing systemic oppression.
‘I tell my students, 'When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.’ - Toni Morrison
slave labor in Oregon with prisoners for $0.05 per hour.
now ask again why our politicians are criminalizing addiction and mental illness and homelessness and poverty...
burn it all down.
do not let this story die. the whistleblowers were israeli and this story was broken by cnn, this means this could possibly be way worse than described. btw, the last time something similar to this was done was during the bosnian genocide!!! do not get desensitized!
both schools protested, but students at CUNY were charged with class D felonies (up to 7 yrs in prison) while students at Columbia were charged with class B misdemeanors (90 days in prison). ofc this is because cuny students are black/brown, low-income, first gen, undocumented...
I saw something on the TL abt how only folks in the "illegal settlements" are settlers.
It's Nakba Day. My family's land was incorporated into west Jerusalem, and the people living in our house right now, at this moment, are also settlers.
The is happening right now. As U.S. broadcast journalists prepare for their segments, get makeup-ready and prepare their propagandist notes, this is happening right now.
Hind Rajab died one of the most horrifying deaths you could imagine for a kid — or anyone — surrounded by her dead family in a car, terrified as IDF forces moved in. the kind of story that sits in your stomach for years after you hear it. honoring her in this way is so beautiful.
Doesn’t seem like a total accident that the NYPD raids on students at Columbia and CCNY are happening at the same time that Rafah is under brutal siege
Y’all gotta stop lying. The Compton’s Cafeteria riot, Stonewall, the Watts Riots, the Black Panther takeover of California legislature… whether liberals like it or not, we’ve only made it this far bc the generations before us threw hands. (& bricks, but you get my point)
Student protesters were right about segregation in the early '60s, right about Vietnam in the late '60s, right about apartheid in the '80s, right about Iraq in 2003, and right about wealth inequality in 2011. Seems generally bad to side against student movements.
The police will attack you if you protest for Palestine. They’ll attack you for doing mutual aid. They’ll attack you for going on strike. They’ll attack you for demanding affordable housing. They’ll attack you for demanding peace. A better world requires abolition.
