When I have a “bad low” in public and use all supplies, I have to buy- several times in my life (esp. as a student) I couldn’t afford that and had to make it work, or bought the less effective option due to )

I spend approx. £15 on multipacks of juice per week, I spend money on pump accessories to ensure I can wear it correctly, I spend money every day I leave the house as my exercise sensitivity is so high I need xtra bits

Low snacks, sugary drinks etc, pump accessories. PIP should absolutely be given to people with T1D

Type 1 diabetics do not usually qualify for PIP despite dealing with a dangerous condition 24 hours a day. We believe there is a general lack of understanding and education of Type 1 Diabetes which may affect PIP assessments.
