After I learned to drive, I hit a parked car. Everyone was fine, but I was so scared the driver & passenger spent 10 minutes reassuring me with solemn calm (him) and radiant kindness (her). And I had to pretend I didn’t realize I’d just rammed into Gilda Radner & Gene Wilder.
Thank you @filmforumnyc for allowing me to host a (sold out!) book signing & screening of THE MISFITS! Such a great night & a true pleasure to meet so many Marilyn Monroe fans 📽️
Week two of MARILYN 💯 festival is off and running with Monroe’s majestic performances in SOME LIKE IT HOT, NIAGARA, THE ASPHALT JUNGLE, ALL ABOUT EVE, and THE MISFITS, with an intro tonight at 8pm by author Elizabeth Weitzman.

The 25th @Tribeca Festival begins today! The hardest part, as always, is choosing what to see & do, so we’ve made it easy for you. Here's my curtain-raiser, for @Timeoutfilm: https://t.co/0gcpSt5ocd
My contribution to this week’s Soderbergh discourse is pretty simple: The world needs more movies like “The Christophers.” My review, from @TimeOutFilm: https://t.co/JteRxvICvm

Very proud to share that I have a new gift book series this year! "Style Icons: Audrey Hepburn" is out today, with more on the way! P.S. The gorgeous art is by Kelly Smith at @_illustrationX. https://t.co/kn5HFRpIru
Very excited about this. Just added to the New York Comedy Festival, @Justin_Stangel & I are teaching a workshop- How To Craft The Perfect TV Pitch! At Rodney's Comedy Club in NYC Wed 11/12 7:30pm. More info here https://t.co/eaDrSIcSVj
My editor: Any chance you’ve seen every episode of “Downton Abbey,” so you can review the new movie?
Me: Nope. Oh wait, did you say “Degrassi”?
Anyway, here’s my review of “Degrassi: Whatever It Takes,” for @TheWrap: https://t.co/QGQBA1rLl1 #TIFF50
Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” is so many films wrapped in one—American epic, genre thriller, romance, musical—that it’s likely to leave you both dazed and awed by his enormous ambitions. My review, from @TimeOutFilm: https://t.co/WtUsrWAdAR
Many thanks to the iconic Paris Theater for inviting me to introduce Robert Altman’s opus "Nashville" today. Few films tell us more about how we got to where we are than this one does.
One of my favorite movies in recent memory is out today: Morrisa Maltz's gorgeous ode to girlhood, "Jazzy," costarring Lily Gladstone. My review, from @TheWrap: https://t.co/N6g1Zd3hTn
Just want to make sure everyone knows you can "attend" Sundance online through February 2. One of the movies to watch from home is Rachael Holder's promising debut romance, "Love, Brooklyn." My review, from @TheWrap: https://t.co/7G27q15B72
I know it's been a fairly slow Sundance, but there are still plenty of gems to be found. I especially liked Flora Lau's visually striking "Luz," starring Isabelle Huppert. My review, from @TheWrap: https://t.co/IFZClTja0e
WaPo habitually centers men in a female obit subject’s life. They were partners, but both the caption & opening define her via him *over* her own achievements. Plowright won a Best Actress Tony the year they married! Maybe that helped confer her rank? https://t.co/5gdpSRMKm7
