@EricBalchunas Many athletes are building interests outside sports to have things to focus on post-career, leading many to invest directly in products/companies. I had one client doing this, so the firm didn’t put him in additional privates and instead DCA’d his money into DI-type strategies.
@LionelHutz_Esq@kosVarg66907538 @jjlopez74528891 I saw the recent press release. Do you know how they arrive at 15% of 500m? I don't see where the 15% comes from.
@kosVarg66907538@LionelHutz_Esq @jjlopez74528891 The actions off the coast of Venezuela aren't something that should be directly factored in, but one has to wonder if there is—even if only a small probability—some potential knock-on effects that could ultimately benefit $GDRZF.
@kosVarg66907538@LionelHutz_Esq @jjlopez74528891 Please note that they haven't accepted, doesn't mean they have rejected. Per my read, $GDRZF has until outside date to accept (12-18 months after signing Amber SPA). I had the same question and saw no other conditions. 2123 has the details if you want to review yourself.
@AlexBWashburn@LionelHutz_Esq @jjlopez74528891 It's in several places. Look at 2123. The SM mentions in his letter additional consideration of $500M. It also appears in the table on annex A.
@LionelHutz_Esq @jjlopez74528891 The downside scenario I see for $GDRZF is if the ruling is in favor of the 2020 bonds. But even in that situation, I believe the bid process would need to be reopened, and potentially more bidders could come back into the mix due to the added legal clarity. Is that right?
@LionelHutz_Esq @jjlopez74528891 @LionelHutz_Esq Read your $GDRZF note. Is the TSA with the bondholders public? Is it assumed that Amber would be paying them back in full (face value + interest)?
@LionelHutz_Esq @jjlopez74528891 Look forward to reading it. To me, the situation looks favorable for $GDRZF. The Amber bid provides a $500m option (which creates a floor on share price). The SM also has the ability to back out pending the 2020 bond issue (and the US Attorney appears to side with opp party).
@ChrisDeMuthJr Looked at Citgo auction updates. For $GDRZF, Amber Energy bid doesn't look as bad as I initially thought. Puts a floor value of $500M (outside date = option expiration date), also gives the SM the ability to reverse the decision pending how Failla rules. Agree with my read?
@MenjaiHess@LionelHutz_Esq It doesn't look like the bondholders are willing to negotiate with Vitol so they don't have a bid at the moment. The market looks to be pricing in the fact that it's back to the SM choosing between Dalinar and Elliott.
@uv_shares Small correction - when Gold Reserve initially hit the $4.5/share range last year, the SM selected the Elliot/Amber bid. They ended up restarting the process and the SM selected Red Tree as stalking horse. Anticipation during the stalking horse bid bumped GRZ to $2.50/share.
