Well, here’s essentially an answer to everything.
If blackmail and threats work, and you can just go and snatch Greenland, then why not keep going with Ontario? Quebec? British Columbia? Iceland? Bermuda?
They’re all incredibly necessary so that Donald Trump can slap his name on them in gold letters and praise himself in front of TV cameras — because “America’s security”, because they treated us very badly, because they didn’t give me a Nobel Prize, because China, because they don’t pay me $1 billion to be part of my toy “peace board,” etc etc etc.
The moment you allow this to begin, it will never end, and no appeasement along the lines of “our alliance with America matters more than some icy rocks somewhere out there” will pay off.
You’ll lose both.
What has to be clear is that Greenland is not going to be sold and no economic pressure is going to work. For Europe this is a fight over principles of sovereignty and independence in the face of resurgent American and Russian imperialism
Was it for this that the US spent 80 years building power and alliances? Not to be a force for good. But instead to impoverish neighbours, threaten those it protected, rob minerals from war-torn countries, and break its promises to 100s of millions of the poorest in the world? 🧵
🚨Trump suggests a possible 3rd term: “They say I can’t run for president again. That’s the expression. ‘Sir…’ somebody said, ‘I don’t think you can.’ Oooh…”
This is the third time he’s ‘joked’ about a 3rd term in recent days. No reason to worry at all…
About a year ago, I posted about how the frontline in Ukraine can be easily seen from space.
Well, a year later, the brown scar of the so-called 'Grey Zone' can be seen even more clearly than ever.
Hundreds of thousands of lives, millions of shells and billions of dollars have been ploughed into this line, through some of the most fertile lands in Europe, all because they dared to challenge Russian imperialism.
Now more than ever, Ukraine deserves our support, so this great cost was not borne for nothing, and that one day, this brown scar can heal.
@AJEnglish@leonidragozin The vulnerability of Putin is perhaps overhyped but the political and military vulnerability is the weakening. He made the war in Ukraine and is unable to control the mess he made from spilling over on Russians. It is his failure and he is to blame for war on their porch.
@ChivalryGuild In general most movies depict the "true" royals as benevolent and caring (read: every christmas movie). Even in a "cynical show" such as GOT Joffrey is not the rightful king and thus is bad, while many of the "rightful" kings candidates are portrayed as "good" and "moral".
Dear @TwitterSupport, as much as we enjoy our excellent bilateral relations and close alphabetical vicinity with Nigeria, we would much appreciate if you could label us as Norway😉
P.S. That also goes for Prime Minister @jonasgahrstore and Foreign Minister @AHuitfeldt 🇳🇴
Yes, exactly. This is the time to bring up this bullshit🙄. Do they even care that people are dying in a military invasion? These people have absolutely no shame 🇺🇦
We are now experiencing Foreign policy Covid: “Experts” pretending that what is happening between Russia and Ukraine is a naturally occurring event, when in fact, it was manufactured in a lab by the people who stood to benefit trillions.

JOE BIDEN DEFEATS PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP
The Associated Press declares Joe Biden the winner of a grueling campaign for the American presidency. He will lead a polarized nation through a historic collision of health, economic and social crises.
