My wife was getting concerned, so she started asking him questions tonight.

He finally explains that he eats lots of snacks throughout the day.

7 years ago, I went to Aberdeen for my Training Captain course. The man who trained me became a Training Captain in 1985. He had served as a commander in the Queen’s fleet and even flew Queen Elizabeth II for a while.

He told me something I’ll never forget. In his words, “If you ever say, ‘let me show you how to do it’ to any crew, make sure you can perform that procedure almost perfectly. Whatever you do can become the standard.”

I think about his words every time I watch our politicians talk about impunity and lawlessness. You can't enter the office through questionable means, break the rules in different ways, and then expect the citizens not to follow your example.

One politician once said that if you are a governor or president and you and your family are not stealing, you’ve solved over 50% of corruption.

Behaviour breeds behaviour. We need leaders who lead by example.
