We're thrilled to announce our $1.4M pre-seed led by @TheGP and @nascentxyz, along with @bodhi_ventures / @kain and @roneil!
EarthFast empowers projects to build + host decentralized apps with ease, offering a scalable, secure and performant alternative to traditional cloud platforms.
No waitlist, no credit card needed, this is live today at https://t.co/qKDZJJyXYH. For more information on how this works, check out our docs https://t.co/5ApiH3Etyo
Need to host your Next.js app and want a secure, performant and decentralized alternative to Vercel? We're announcing Next.js support today! You can now host Next.js projects on EarthFast with support for all Next.js features including SSR.
@LiquityProtocol published this detailed post explaining their thought process, and why decentralized frontends protect users against frontend hacks. (h/t @edwardmulraney)

@EarthFast is now running a frontend for @LiquityProtocol, one of the world's largest decentralized borrowing protocols.
Liquity has been an industry pioneer in decentralized frontends, enabling trustless frontend access while preserving the familiar web2 experience. 🧵

@LiquityProtocol has chosen not to run their own frontend, choosing instead to prioritize decentralization and resiliency.
They have thought critically about these tradeoffs, and provide excellent resources to help DeFi users make informed decisions.

Unless you’re already running your frontend locally, using an open source frontend that transparently shows updates is a great step forward in security
Crypto has historically been focused on smart contract security, while neglecting the access layer – frontends.
Today, too many apps are closed-source, rely on servers instead of direct chain access, or are not even entirely client-side (eg NextJS server-side-rendering).
In this state, it's no surprise that users don't trust the sites they are interacting with.
But there's a better way.
To further our mission, we're hosting mirrors of many industry-critical frontends, including @safe, @ShapeShift, @thales_io, @Balancer, and @MorphoLabs.
We'll keep adding more, to help provide secure onchain UX for crypto users.
Security Through Transparency
EarthFast's mission is to enable secure access to permissionless apps.
Today, we're launching Project Showcase, to show off some great examples. 🧵
The dashboard features crypto frontends that are open source, enable direct chain access, and use transparent onchain versioning.

We're a long way from resilient, permissionless systems.
Disappointing that many of the most popular wallets are still susceptible to the same old web2 issues.
Open-source light clients should be the standard
Great to see more folks thinking critically about permissionless frontends. Thanks to @polymutex for the thread enumerating the options today, including @EarthFast.
We're singularly focused on building the most secure decentralized protocol for frontend hosting.

How EarthFast enables secure decentralized frontends 🔒
@EarthFast is designed to be the most secure protocol for decentralized frontends, offering more security guarantees than IPFS and other existing solutions.

Thread on how this works 🧵
Network Attacks & Single Points-of-failure
Projects can use multiple domain and content nodes, each independently registered & staked onchain.
This prevents:
– DDoS
– Sybil attacks
– Malicious nodes
