@thestoptv Take Care was overstuffed too but the hit-to-miss ratio was so much higher than later albums. Drake will be remembered as one of the greatest singles artists of all time, and his decision to release these bloated albums has clearly paid off numbers-wise.
@JamieWhistle All that to say, if I'm the educator and your son hands me an essay where he totally disregarded the prompt in order to go off on a tangential point about the nature of judgment to make a thinly-veiled political point unrelated to the class, he is failing the assignment.
@JamieWhistle The prompt asked your son about a time he was judged *unfairly.* This already implies the existence of fair judgments, and since your son recognizes that judgments based on merit and performance are fair, he must recognize that judgments that disregard these things are unfair.
@chicagotechmom It's remarkable how much the average conservative's perception of both the past and the present is rooted entirely in their own imagination
@itzbasito Besides winning the battle, releasing a record-breaking song, cleaning up at the Grammys and clinching the SB halftime show, he ensured that no matter how many streams Drake gets or what records he breaks, Drake's own fanbase will be unable to stop making it about Kendrick
@AngrymanChannel You could just accept that people genuinely disagree with you without imagining an entire conspiratorial plot against the stuff you like
@essexveryown@chartradar_@PorshaDeshannon That's also why current superstars chart so many more songs. Now, when a massive artist drops an album all the songs on the album chart. In the past, most of the songs would never have been released as a single and would have no way of charting.
@essexveryown@chartradar_@PorshaDeshannon The source of the numbers for the albums chart and the songs chart is basically the same now. It's all largely just streaming. In the pre-streaming era, the two were not really correlated at all and it wasn't strange for artists to chart albums without charting songs.
@SmokeyAndLit LMAO I'm rereading this and realize you think that the WHOLE album has to be streamed in its entirety to count as ONE stream. No. 1,500 individual track streams count as one sale. You could do it in under 4 days.
