@atxtransitblog Helps that the Latino neighborhoods there were decimated by gentrification. The lot on the right had the 13 houses on it demolished in the early 2000s and the left side of the street is a railway siding. A lot easier to remake an area in your image when the residents are ignored.

@WPReview@CFR_org@JoshKurlantzick Sadly, legitimacy is not the issue. NUG begins to matter if 1) it can militarily threaten the junta/ctrl territory 2) junta collapses/capitulates under pressure. Governance exercises are valuable if they promote either outcome. They can't hurt but won't help much. Treading water
