@Blake_Allen13 Housing, housing, HOUSING! Dems indulged the NIMBY's and, under intimidation, have nor made inroads or delivered. And recently, Rep controlled states ARE creating housing. Go figure!
This is my last post here, at least for the forseeable future.
Appreciate all I have learned from you folks, before this platform went crazy. B

When you listen to Noah, try to remember the innocence of youth, and try to remember Noah is a hurting young adult suffering through the trauma of homelessness:

"And we will be a free country of free men and immense wealth, but we will withhold access to plentiful food and other basic needs to encourage people to work to not die of poverty."
"No Universal Basic Income, sir?"
"No, instead we will have welfare with work requirements that don't increase work and only function to exclude the poor from welfare, and means-testing that will encourage people to not work too much so they can keep qualifying for welfare."
"Will we make sure the rich also work, sir?"
"No, the rich will earn interest for being rich, and also dividend income without work, which we will tax at a lower rate, and some will just become billionaires based on birth luck and never have to work ever. Also, just for fun, we will continually cut taxes on the rich and shower them with subsidies to make them rich enough to command even lower taxes to become even richer."
"Will all those who do work at least live above the poverty line, sir?"
"No, lots of work is meant for kids, and that work will pay below poverty wages even though it will be done by adults. Also, we will have something called tips so employers won't have to pay their workers more than the tipped minimum wage rate, which will be basically nothing."
"Sir, will at least all work count as work?"
"No, care work will not be work because it's mostly done by women who choose to do it for free."
BREAKING: The federal court of appeals just shut down Huntington Beach’s attempt to evade compliance with state housing law.
No more excuses — every city must follow state law and do its part to build more housing.
🌍 Why does wealth coexist with so much poverty in America? This article sheds light on systemic issues and offers a hopeful solution with Housing First:

Density is not overcrowding.
When we artificially constrain our housing supply, we force people into overcrowding situations as a result of a fear of adding modest density, often mislabeled as 'overcrowding.'

Incomes haven't kept up—housing affordability has deteriorated

When we hear "No" to new housing and infrastructure, all I hear is "No, we can't." We're one of the richest, smartest places on earth, and yet we can't afford not to grow and change. With "No," we're giving up on ourselves before we even start. With "Yes and," we can do anything.
If you’re in your soft life era, being a YIMBY is a major 🔑
All you have to do is vote, sign a petition or two, maybe even show up to a public hearing if you’re feeling fancy and then other people will build homes and make it less expensive for all of us 😌
How much space does a cloverleaf interchange take?
Charlotte redesigned this exit replaced the interchange with…
• Whole Foods grocery store
• 1,000 multifamily units
• 20 townhomes
• 2 large hotels
• Starbucks
• A bank
• CVS
And there’s still one leaf left!
