On Sunday October 20th, Captain Philip A. Pinto Jr.'s name was added to the Westchester Fallen Firefighters Memorial during a ceremony at the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services building in Valhalla.

The Eastchester Fire District would like to congratulate FF James Rockhill as he works his last tour as a firefighter. When he gets off duty at 8 am tomorrow morning he will have served the District residents for almost 40 years. We wish him a long and heathy retirement.

Earthquake : the USGS reports an earthquake rattled New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The preliminary 4.8 magnitude quake originated near Lebanon, New Jersey.

The new Pierce Tower Ladder 17 has completed its final tests at the factory in Wisconsin! Fire Chief Tween and Mechanic Hank Henninger traveled to Wisconsin for the customer acceptance inspection. Next week, TL17 will be driven cross country to its new home at EFD

Tonight, the Eastchester Fire District thanked NYS Assembly Member Amy Paulin and her staff for securing a $500,000.00 SAM grant which the District received in October 2023.
