27 October 1887 | A Dutch Jewish woman, Eva Musaph-Kanteman, was born in Hengelo.
In September 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

I'm in Wexford today for Hugh Fagan's trial.
His offence? Sitting on a bench with seven homemade signs. The summons doesn't even say which sign.
My interview with Hugh, and the full case below.

Killer in the classroom
McGill admitted Jeffrey George Ewert — life sentence for sexually assaulting and murdering one woman, then beating and choking a 15-year-old so severely she was left paralyzed and brain-damaged for life — into its selective law school while on day parole
Assessed moderate-to-high risk for violent sexual reoffending. Parole secured in part via Gladue principles (Indigenous/Sixties Scoop background). University fully aware. Supportive students petitioned that excluding him undermined rehabilitation of an Indigenous man
Female students’ safety concerns were secondary. He’s now back in custody after further breaches. Campus safety lost to DEI novelty
Here's what Hugh said in May:
"We're living in the upside down at the moment. What's true is not true anymore."
He's right. In Ireland, the man with the cardboard is in the dock. The people screaming at him aren't.
Today in Wexford, Ireland takes a man to court for a sign.
Not a riot. Not a punch. A sign.
His name is Hugh Fagan. He sits on a bench in the town square with his homemade signs and his headphones on.
Here's the case. 👇
This was my first election campaign as an independent, running against people with established political profiles and community networks, in a race shaped by the incumbent’s last-minute withdrawal.
Finishing sixth out of 18 candidates, even by a wide margin, is an accomplishment.
I don’t take a single vote for granted, and I value every lesson learned.
Thank you all for being part of this journey.

This will be a big test week for Liberals who want you to forget the disastrous Trudeau policies.
The Liberal shipping ban makes it impossible to load Canadian vessels to transport our oil to markets in Asia.
Energy companies would like to ship more oil by rail to Prince Rupert. The facility there can be upgraded to handle oil exports in just two years.
But that can’t happen as long as the shipping ban stays in place.
We don’t need a Major Projects Office or MOU to increase our exports.
We need less Liberal bureaucracy blocking exports.
Will Liberal MPs truly turn the page on the Trudeau era? Or will they vote to keep his legacy intact, and the oil in the ground.
Vote is this Wednesday! Stay tuned.
