Most of the legal issues resolved against Nixon were likely correct, but that doesn't mean the facts as to how those issues came to be resolved has been giving the wide airing that they deserve.
There is much complicity -- regardless of the correctness or incorrectness of the outcome -- that needs to be more widely exposed as a the reason why the press has developed into the adversarial force it has become, but only in one political direction.

The modern press doesn't want this story told because it will do FURTHER damage to its credibility as an instrument for "truth telling."

It is not -- and has not been for a long time.

So they cr@p on the story and suggest is another Trump Administration effort to divert attention.

But there is a historical record there which needs wider airing with the assistance of modern fact-gathering tools and analysis.
