Well, it's been a busy couple of days. Baby 4 decided to come a week early and today we had to drive her home in a snowstorm. Appreciate all the friends, family, and 4x4 vehicles that helped get us through everything! (And sorry to my rescheduled year end vasectomies!)

@DanielEvansMD @shawndason @kjdelay1 I think the best thing you can do is maximize your early career ROI, keep expenses low, and aggressively pay down your medical school debt when you get out. Future uncertainty is a lot less scary when you have a good financial footing.

@DanielEvansMD @drtedritchie I think there is an intensity above which you are mentally "on-call" regardless of how much busier it gets. If that's the case for both, I'd go with less frequent. I personally enjoy Q3-4 with minimal calls where I can go on with my normal daily life regardless.

Stone hardness is also still a very important factor. A 2 cm 1500 HU is not the same as a 2 cm 600 HU.

Could not agree with this more. I made a conscious effort when starting my practice here in Findlay, OH to minimize opioid usage. I now write less than one opioid script per month. Tylenol and ibuprofen/Meloxicam when used with minimally invasive approaches are more than enough.
