Acie Lumumba @acielumumba is not and has never been a political actor of conviction. He is a mercenary of convenience, a money monger whose loyalty is as fluid as the highest bidder’s wallet. Today, he is being paid to attack Dr. Tungwarara, a man whose record of service and integrity stands in stark contrast to Lumumba’s own trail of opportunism and duplicity.This is not new. Lumumba has made a career out of hustling from one presidential hopeful to another, not to advance any ideological cause, but to secure proximity to power or at least the illusion of it. His latest stunt, vouching for Saviour Kasukuwere, is not a political endorsement. It is a transactional performance, a desperate bid to remain relevant in a political marketplace that has long seen through his charade.

This is not politics. This is not activism. This is the theatre of the absurd a circus of chancers where the loudest voice is often the least principled.The tragedy is not that Lumumba speaks. He is entitled to his voice. The tragedy is that some still mistake his theatrics for substance. But the people are not fools. They know that when Lumumba speaks, it is not the voice of the people echoing through him it is the sound of self-interest amplified by a rented microphone. As for Kasukuwere, if this is the calibre of endorsement he attracts, then it speaks volumes about the hollowness of his so-called presidential bid. Birds of a feather flock together, and in this case, the flock is one of political scavengers circling the carcass of credibility.
Zimbabwe deserves better. It deserves leaders of principle, not peddlers of influence. It deserves visionaries, not vultures. Dr. Tungwarara will not be distracted by paid hecklers. His work speaks for itself. And no amount of noise from political hustlers will drown out the truth.

The Presidential Solar Scheme is further revolutionizing the hospital by providing clean energy, with the rooftops now equipped with a new solar system. This initiative, championed by His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa, enhances energy security, promotes sustainability, and supports healthcare infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted medical services and reducing reliance on traditional power sources. Today, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance George Guvamatanga, visited Mbuya Nehanda Maternity Hospital and the nursing school. He was accompanied by government officials, heads of departments and Special Investment Advisor Dr P Tungwarara. The permanent secretary reported that the project is approximately 90% complete, he also emphasized that investing in infrastructure is crucial for creating a robust economy, prioritizing social services, healthcare, education, and world-class facilities.

He expressed satisfaction with the project's progress, stating that it represents good value for money.
