I am deeply empathetic but dont mistake that for kindness . You deliberately crossed me , hurt me deliberately , well i guess i am capable of torture and other punishments
@Jztujj@LeftieStats@itvnews No the number of constituencies are reduced by around 30% under additional member or you could have much larger constituencies and use the system used for the Welsh Senedd , with multiple MPs representing a county perhaps
@Jztujj@LeftieStats@itvnews Additional Member - Scotland has constituency MPs plus a regional top up list . You have two votes 1. For candidate in constituency and 2nd for party from a closed party list .
@JoshHousden England should follow Scotland in its electoral system . Additional Member for Westminster and STV for Council elections but that does mean all councillors are elected every four years from a list system
@DanielJHannan We could have had wealth from North Sea gas but Thatcher sold off the industry rather than nationalise it . Norway kept its revenue . Under Thatcherism Public housing was sold of cheaply , the Water privatised . Both Conservative and Labour have made mistakes based on ideology .
Sod Starmergate - Its Eurovision . Isreal should have been disqualified this year . The rule should be any country engaging in military action against another should be removed . To be unbiased that would mean no Ukraine either . Russia , Israel , Ukraine - void
@DanielJHannan Brexit terminally fractured the UK . Leave crowed about their win but the percentage difference was small . Also successive governments have failed to provide a unifying and positive message for the future . Fundamental change is required . Start with PR for Westminster .
The UK is in for very turbulent times . Fractured , an electoral system collapsing . Ineffective governments for the last twenty years , Brexit driving people apart , personally I loathe Reform and i guess many loathe my beliefs . Scotland and Wales veering away from England
@bernadette67_a@Ganymeade2631@Kevin_Maguire Reform's share of the vote across the UK accounted for 27% and its unlikely that would achieve a majority in Westminster . If the UK keeps FPTP then opposing left and centre groupings will just have to do a deal to block Reform . Better to have PR
