The team conducted an assessment at Shaqlawa within the IHD Program to select a number of farms, thus increasing the irrigation efficiency by adapting drip irrigation methods and visited Duhok for the hydroponic and efficient farming development project under WFP.

The team visited several projects that are currently being implemented in Iraq; from the advanced raft system project in Al-Sulaymaniyah to Erbil which includes a drip-irrigated potato farm, a corn farm, and a lettuce-planted multi-span greenhouse.

Knowledge exchange within the agricultural sector is essential, for each project has certain challenges & conditions that may arise from variables such as climate, crops, etc.
In an exchange visit between ECO Consult colleagues, the Jordan team visited our Erbil - Iraq office.
