What's much more useful information is when factoring in statistical significance, Michigan's performance is on par with the national average.

Just a reminder that rank ordering states based on NAEP results has many flaws. While its great for headlines, it's usually misleading.

As an example, when it comes to 4th grade reading if you factor in standard error and statistical significance Michigan's ranking could be as high as 18th or as low as 40th. How is that useful information?

To begin the 2020 school year the decision on operations was between district leadership and locally elected boards based on community conditions. According to this EPIC report, the overwhelming majority of districts offered options to families.

House Republicans are OPPOSED to suspending the 6% sales tax on roads.

"It's not a good plan," House GOP spokesman Gideon D'Assandro just told reporters.

He says it's smaller savings at the pump, savings would "shrink" as gas prices decline and would harm the School Aid Fund.
