Everyone said "Hey Grok" was impossible on iPhone. Even Grok said Apple keeps wake words for Siri only. So I kept digging, and I found a way. Now I just say "Hey Grok" and Grok Bot voice chat opens. No extra apps, no cost, all built into iOS.

How to set it up:

1. Make sure your Grok Bot app is up to date

2. Shortcuts app → + → Add Action → search "Grok Bot" → pick "Start Voice Chat with Bot"

3. Settings → Accessibility → Vocal Shortcuts → Set Up → pick that shortcut → type "Hey Grok" and say it 3 times

4. In the shortcut's details, turn on "Allow Running When Locked"

If your phone is locked, iOS asks for one tap first. If Face ID already unlocked it, it's fully hands-free.

Might want to start looking at places you’ve been wasting money instead of ways to replacing tax dollars. @grok what is political affiliation of the Mayor and elaborate.

• Stormwater money used for parades / event staffing instead of flooding. Carlson has said stormwater staff and funds were used to prepare for parades while South Tampa still floods in dozens of spots and needs billions in fixes.
• CRA (redevelopment) dollars going to luxury and cultural projects while streets, sidewalks, and pumps lag. Reported examples include tens of millions reimbursing the Water Street Tampa developer, tens of millions for downtown cultural expansion, about $10 million toward a Riverwalk extension, and multimillion-dollar downtown beautification while residents complain about failing generators and unpaved or crumbling streets. Council raised street resurfacing above the mayor’s initial recommendation.
• South Howard flood-relief project (~$100 million, up from an earlier ~$45 million figure). City Council approved it 4–3 in September 2026. Supporters say Hurricane Milton showed the need and that hundreds of structures are at risk. Critics (including the South Howard Business Alliance) cite an older analysis that a similar design would take only a small number of structures out of the 100-year floodplain, plus years of construction disruption for businesses and cost-growth risk. Castor backed moving it forward.
• “Pet projects” vs. basics. Carlson has pointed to spending on things like boat houses while roads have on the order of $2 billion in deferred maintenance (he has asked for a full citywide deferred-maintenance tally that could be much higher).
