The choice of the grocery sector for price controls is just plain “weird.” Kroger’s profit margin is 2%, Albertsons is 1%. The likes of Elizabeth Warren cite companies like Kraft-Heinz and Cal-Maine, yet the profit margins for both are lower today than they were in 2016.
