@ztisdale@MarkJCarney Read the treaty. It is not just the US who must approve sensitive investments and new military bases, beyond those expressly mentioned, but also both Denmark and Greenland.
@CallVoter@MarkJCarney Actually it does, if you read the treaty. NATO is designated as a partner of Arctic security and is used to define, along with the EU, the list of countries that doesn't need Danish, Greenlandic and US approval for military installations or sensitive investments.
