On Friday, January 26th 2024, at noon - Edward Norton passed away and into the great beyond. We are nothing short of devastated by this loss. He was our companion and a friend to many over his fourteen years. I got him through a private rescue in 2012. It was one of my greatest decisions, but also an easy one. He was always chipper, affable and loving, until the very end. We already miss him immensely and know that many will as well. However, he will love forever in our hearts, on our wall, and as this avatar. We ask that you remember him and celebrate his life in your own way.
I would have posted this on his avatar Twitter account had it non been for an erroneous spam suspension. I have caved and signed up for a subscription to keep this post up for a bit. His uncool less, fElon, triumphs for now.
Thank you for reading this far if you were so inclined. It means the world to us.
Now back to shit posting.
Tim Dillon had a brutally funny take on Gen Z’s approach to work.
He says a lot of them have figured out the whole system feels like a scam, so they’re treating it like one. Fake mental health days, quiet quitting, weaponizing HR language, doing the bare minimum while demanding maximum accommodation.
And Tim’s reaction? “I’m for it.” They’re just using the playbook society handed them.
This is what happens when trust in institutions and old-school work ethic collapses. People stop playing the game seriously and start playing the system instead.
Do you think Gen Z is smart for gaming a broken system, or is this approach ultimately making things worse?
I have forgotten loved ones’ birthdays, the names of old classmates and even core memories, but I will always remember that it was on May 30, 2020 - six years ago today - that French DJ David Guetta ended racism forever.
Shoutout to his family.
