@sappholives83 Thanks to Conservative privatisation of domicilary care in the early 1990’s this huge chaotic & suboptimal clinical care mess was created due to the desire for profit nothing more nothing less. It all needs reigning back in to either NHS or local authority governance now!!
@JamesTitcombe@ShaunLintern Despite Ockenden will we ever get any response or accountability from directors of midwifery HE establishments. Horrendous stories & inquiries far back as Joshua Titcombe preventable death & just radio silence from establishments graduating these practitioners within these arenas
@itsfoxyjohn@criminographer Please reflect for just one minute on your narrative & the brutality of pursuing a grieving mother to grasp that her child’s death is essentially language coded as a minor significance because actually this is what it says. We could do better in this instance.
@itsfoxyjohn@criminographer Your narrative lacks gross emotional intelligence. We have a grieving mother for whom language will be hyper critiqued as this is what grief does. Just acknowledge the vulnerability here & how perhaps we can do better as clinicians & systems.
@ShaunLintern@JamesTitcombe, exactly what I have been saying for past few years. In all these horrific stories, inquests, inquiries, not once have any of the directors of midwifery education in these HE institutes responsible for graduating RM’s from these troubled clinical areas commented!
@dolleyolley @JamesTitcombe@CareQualityComm Sad thing is back in late 90’s SJH maternity & certainly neonatal care was at the vanguard of practice…a relatively short time line and we have an entirely different take on this 🤦🏻♂️😔
@JamesTitcombe I totally get you bro..but I still maintain Joshua’s story & your relentless commitment to improving perinatal safety whilst carrying your profound grief was never in vain & we will never know just how many lives you have both saved..so thank you..father & son hero for so many 🙏🏻
@KWebbNurse @ShaunLintern@jackhawkski Exactly..isn’t this the hospital that was awarded Magnet status in 2020 with its practices worthy of international dissemination. Magnet a costly & timely process minimum 2-3 years pre 2020 to achieve this status..🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️..the mind truly boggles what was actually going on!!
@JamesTitcombe Best story to hear today…Simple genetics it seems…..your beautiful Dad passed his truly amazing strength..fight…spirit & soul onto you!!! enjoy many many more happy days with him bro..god bless 🙏🏻
@TheRustler83 Those historical plastic screens are still of greater concern to me than Prof’s clear, concise & correct statement of the biological facts.
@drruthannharpur@sue_haddon@Juliekeegs@DrRJWebb@LittlePersonDoc@catherineroyuk Indeed We’ve normalised this & in fact I can 100% guarantee that most of these admissions are never examined in detail as to why it happened. The risk of harm from hypoglycaemia & jaundice levels above exchange line is immeasurable in the perinatal period.
@sue_haddon The nuance beliefs/changes in midwifery care have been to the absolute detriment of safe & compassionate care for women & their babies. Women have been robbed of making positive experiences at a pivotal time in their lives..truly heart breaking
@BlondiieMama@Dr_DeanS Whilst I’m far from an advocate of birth centres & their likes..30+ years of working in the perinatal arena & still do..salvaging/stabilising more infants from busy central expert delivery suites following suboptimal care is somewhat far more common
@cappsperhaps@ParaAndy90 Totally get this..yes, they have given consent but public don’t understand this formal background needed & as such events in public now result in acute spectator sport with the usual mobile phone in acute tow ready to share on their usual platforms 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
@JamesTitcombe Huge hug bro…Joshua walks proudly in spirit by his Dad’s side always..not a moment of his life was wasted James..that boy through you has been a firework in some dark sky & has through this ensured bright lights have shone for many families that may have been extinguished..🙏🏻
