Dependency ratio doesn’t sound very interesting but it changes your country massively. Italy's demographic decline can be described by this measure. In 1950 there were 8 workers for each retiree. By 2050 there will only be 1.5 workers for each retiree. There is no economic model to make this work as of now. HT @WorldEconomics
