@redkacheek@tanner_rome@PGATOUR I stand corrected, for the first time in recent memory they lost $60 million dollars last year. The previous ten years they posted half a billion in profits, and they are sitting on a reserve of $1.2 billion. So don’t start with “the tour is losing money”
@redkacheek@tanner_rome@PGATOUR Source? I have never seen anything that suggests the tour is losing money. And the sponsor money seems to be flowing as much as ever…which is all the more reason to continue to pump up purse sizes.

@bturner23 Our congressman just explained at a local round table that the intent is to be able to renegotiate with the casino owners/managers a higher percentage share for the state. According to him the state is getting a fair share of the revenue. 🤷♂️
@RohrKaden Which is why I also hate the tired take of “congrats, you beat us with our 3rd string qb”…we didn’t take advantage of opportunities and they did. Frustrating game, but KU QB play wasn’t a deciding factor honestly.
@ladyintoronto23@EdKrassen@Pony_WanKenobi You jumped to way too many conclusions. Me pointing out that this gun that everyone thinks of as one easily identifiable and definable object, is not so easily defined, is interpreted as insensitivity towards victims of mass shootings?
@murgatroy24232@EdKrassen@Pony_WanKenobi The fact that you said that, tells me that you wouldn’t be able to come up with a definition sufficient for this kind of regulation.
@EdKrassen@Pony_WanKenobi The most difficult part of regulating AR-15s in the way that you propose, is defining what an AR-15 even is. Not defending her, but it’s a fair point that when discussing complex regulations, you need to first understand the weapons in question.
@SJFriedl@hhuntzinger@EdKrassen That, and the fact that the government forced many of these business to shut down during the pandemic. If businesses were forced to close by the government, it makes sense that the government should help them stay afloat financially.
