@ajpodchaski A6: Google Classroom to post assignments, dochub for students to open, edit and respond. Also, Get More Math has eliminated math text books for me. I use Google Slides as a virtual notebook for students.

@ajpodchaski Recycled materials being used to produce technology devices but also more opportunities for proper disposal of technology. I have a basement full of old computers, monitors and a drawer full of ipods and phones and nowhere to take them.

Think outside the box. Dodgeball was my jam, but many schools have banned it and deemed it dangerous. This looks like a blast though and is basically a souped up version of whack-a-mole. Tech can get you moving!

Assumption - 1:1 schools are eliminating the digital divide. Truth - Having the device in school where internet and tech support are available helps, but many students do not have internet access at home or parents with tech capabilities to help them.

@techteacher795 @DrVirtuality Interesting to think about, but like you I agree that teachers will not be replaced. As teachers, we are more than a deliverer of instruction. We model good citizenship and instill core values in our students though empathy, care, and connections. AI can not do that.

@TylerLe89739680 @DrVirtuality I am most likely guilty of allowing my children "too much screen time". However, I feel like limiting screen time for myself and children isn't necessarily the answer. Instead, shifting screen use from entertainment to functionality is most advantageous.

Virtual instruction was difficult. I had no idea how to write formulas and show work containing math symbols using only a keyboard. I stumbled upon the Wacom tablet & it was a complete game changer. I highly recommend following @jrsowash

Teaching in front of a laptop can feel restrictive, but if you add a digital stylus, or writing tablet, you can combine the flexibility of written work with the convenience of technology.

It can be used to share triumphs, garner support for events, and keep an open flow of information.
