The harsh weather conditions and nerve-racking cold, the pain inflicted on them, the starvation, mosquitoes and other insects feasting deliciously on them, the mutilation, the explicit display of gruesomness. How does one erase all these from a child's memory?

If you have ever raised children, you'll understand how fragile they are. Some 2-year-olds can barely speak.
I wonder what they might be thinking, i'm sure they have lots of questions streaming out of the feeling of pain and rejection.

We have children as young as 2 years old, babies who have yet to even understand the world, babies who need care and protection. How does one erase this kind of trauma from a child's memory? Their only crime was being born into an atrocious country.

There is a reason I don't read or watch the news. Ever since those kids were abducted I intentionally avoided any new about them. For some unexplainable reason, I decided to read/watch some content about the situation and God knows I have been demoralised.
