I’ve seen a couple of people’s takes on this, so…

The “devil works overtime” part can obviously be interpreted badly if you take it literally, especially considering what the allegation is. But I think context and wording matter. TG Omori isn’t saying, “The devil made Poco Lee rape/spike somebody.” He’s expressing disbelief and distress that someone he personally knows as a good person is suddenly in an extremely serious situation. The “devil works overtime” is more like, “Sometimes terrible things happen to people, seemingly out of nowhere, and life can put you in situations you never imagined you’d be in.”

People are interpreting his tweet as though he was making an argument about the allegation, when to me, it was simply an expression of disbelief and helplessness from someone who personally knows the accused. You can disagree with the wording, but saying he was literally blaming the devil for rape is a very deliberate misinterpretation of what he said.
